A Little About Dall-E 2

Today, my dad happened to tell me about the AI project, “Dall-E 2”. Dall-E 2, I learned, is an AI imaging and recreation software that can generate an image of anything in any art style you wish for it to. Immediately, this reminded me of the Google Quick Draw program, which Google released as a game, in which a player draws a given word, and the program attempts to guess it. Dall-E 2, however, is far more superior, as it uses complex diffusion algorithms from millions of neural nodes to create a high-quality image. What I found especially fascinating was the fact that different textures can be mimicked by simply typing out what art style an image should be created in – on their website, openai.com, you can view some examples of doing so. For example, an astronaut riding a horse can be replicated as digital art, or a pencil sketch. If you’re interested, the website hosts a plethora of info regarding the creation and evolution of Dall-E. Unfortunately, the source code for Dall-E 2 isn’t available to the public because of its potential for misuse.
