A LITTLE ABOUT ME!

HELLO THERE! MY NAME IS VIDMAHI SISTLA!
WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!

If you’ve made it this far, congrats! I am currently a junior at Round Rock High School, and I’m currently studying computer science and medicine. My interest for the two subjects developed early on. Since I was little, I’ve always enjoyed science and mathematics, and my interest brewed ever since I picked up my first book.

Speaking of books, let’s move on to some of my interests!

…or something like this:

MY INTERESTS~!

As I mentioned above, reading ha always been a big part of my life. My earliest memories include reading a small book about dinosaurs, and another about the human body. Perhaps it was because I enjoyed reading so much that I developed an interest in art and writing. I started drawing at a fairly young age, but my passion for it faded as I was growing, as I never had time for it. However, I’d always kept doodling on the sides of my paper, and adamantly, I decided to make time for it. I’ve been drawing for many years now, and as of last year, I started digital art. It’s very intriguing to me how similar and different the two are. My cousin played a large role in helping me find time to draw. Also, my cousin and I have pursued our writing interests together. Taking inspiration from our favorite authors, we have written four original books. By myself, I’ve written many short stories, and my favorite genre to write in is dystopian fantasy.

Speaking about arts, I’m also passionate about pursuing Carnatic music (Sangeetham) and Taekwondo. I’ve practiced both arts since I was four, and my interest for singing and martial arts continues to grow. Currently, I am learning advanced kritis (songs) and am a third degree black belt in Taekwondo. In the future, I wish to learn Kyudo and Tessenjutsu as well. In both of these arts, I also enjoy teaching those younger than me. )

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND OTHER EXTRACURRICULARS~!

At school, I participate in a plethora of different clubs. I am an active member in Mu Alpha Theta, and have been to the national competition twice. Furthermore, I was one of the two founders of the Learning Leaders club, which was created during the pandemic in order to help students stay organized and pace themselves during the challenging times. I’m also in HOSA and the Science National Honor Society, and participate in other volunteering opportunities ouside of school. I am one of the four founders of the RBC Volunteer Corp, which focuses on helping the community in any way we can.
